Teledyne: Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary and Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Engineer develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing
processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards;
recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls;
coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering or closely related technical field and 2-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experienced with test equipment and measurement techniques to verify and validate product requirements.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in process design, troubleshooting and refinement within an electromechanical test environment.
Experience in writing assembly / test procedures.
Successful background working in cross-departmental teams.
Experience in process improvement for reduction in waste, reduction in cost and / or improvement in control.
Background in electromechanical assembly.
Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills and a willingness to proactively collaborate to solve problems.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, ERP and database software.
Experience with SolidWorks is highly preferred.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $83,000

Position Summary and Responsibilities
The Teledyne Marine Supply Chain Team participates in this path to discovery in their work on the development of state-of-the-art marine sensors, instruments and vehicles that operate in these environments, tackling applications from deep water observatories through to manned and unmanned vehicles that travel the world’s oceans.
The Buyer evaluates, selects, places and expedites assigned procurement contracts or portions of a procurement contract of moderate complexity, diversification or expense.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-5 years of directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Commodity experience, including machined parts, electronic components and/or cable assemblies
Experience working independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Ability to gather and analyze data and effectively communicate judgments/decisions to others
Intermediate skill in all MS Office applications
Demonstrated understanding of the relationship of transactions in ERP for materials movement in purchasing, planning and accounting
Working knowledge of manufacturing documentation, assembly processes and interpretation of technical drawings
Salary Range: $62,000 USD - $75,000 USD

S/he utilizes lean engineering methodologies, tools, root cause analysis and waste reduction with a bias for action, and interfaces with employees at all levels and various functions across the business. S/he humbly collaborates to refine, prioritize, and assist in implementation of both warehouse associate generated ideas and independently identified process improvements.
